The Park at Manderson Landing

The Park at Manderson Landing is a scenic 15.8-acre recreational area located along the southern bank of the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Situated near downtown Tuscaloosa, this riverside park offers visitors a tranquil escape from the bustle of city life.

The park features a paved walking and biking trail that is part of the larger Tuscaloosa Riverwalk. This trail is divided by a painted line, creating distinct lanes for walkers and cyclists. The pathway is well-lit with street lamps, making it suitable for use in the evening hours.

In 2019, the park became home to a bicentennial sculpture commemorating Tuscaloosa's 200th birthday. The sculpture depicts Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, releasing an owl - symbolizing the release of knowledge to the city, state, nation, and world.
