About Randall Family Park and Trailhead in Tuscaloosa

Randall Family Park & Trailhead is a public recreational area located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, along the northern bank of the Black Warrior River. The park, which opened in the fall of 2021, was made possible through a generous land donation from the Randall family, founders of Randall-Reilly Publishing.

Spanning approximately 19 acres, the park serves as a key component of Tuscaloosa's Northern Riverwalk project, complementing the existing Riverwalk on the southern bank of the river. The park features a 1.1-mile paved walking trail that winds through lush greenery, offering visitors scenic views of the Black Warrior River.

In December 2022, the Randall family further expanded the park by donating an additional 6.6 acres of riverfront land. This expansion allows for the extension of the trail northwest, stretching behind the Village at Northbank office park.

The park is designed to provide a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike. It serves as a trailhead for the Northern Riverwalk and includes several amenities to enhance the visitor experience.

Randall Family Park & Trailhead has quickly become a popular destination for families, visitors, and pet owners, offering a peaceful retreat within the city limits of Tuscaloosa.
