About Worthy Park in Huntington Beach

Worthy Park is a 6.61-acre public park located in Huntington Beach, California. Situated beside Huntington Beach High School at the corner of Main Street and 17th Street, this family-oriented park is surrounded by residential areas.

The park was dedicated on June 3, 1983, to Norman L. Worthy, who is considered the father of the Huntington Beach park system. The park features both open play areas and designated sports facilities, catering to diverse interests and activities. All of the park's athletic facilities are equipped with lighting, allowing for extended use into the evening hours.

The park operates with a curfew from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am, ensuring a balance between community use and residential peace. Worthy Park stands as a testament to Huntington Beach's commitment to providing accessible green spaces for its residents, continuing the legacy of Norman Worthy's vision for the city's park system.
