About Morrison Park in Moreno Valley
Morrison Park is a 14-acre community park located in Moreno Valley, California. The park features multiple sports facilities and recreational areas for visitors to enjoy.
The centerpiece of Morrison Park is its four baseball and softball fields. Each field measures 250 feet from home plate to the outfield fence and is equipped with electronic scoreboards. The fields have bleacher seating with shade covers for spectators, as well as covered dugouts for players.
In addition to the ballfields, Morrison Park has a soccer field available for use. For those looking to have a picnic or barbecue, the park offers three picnic shelters with grills. Two smaller shelters are located near the restroom facilities, while a larger shelter is also available.
The park includes approximately 1,500 feet of walking paths around the sports fields. Just outside the park boundaries, there are an additional 4,000 feet of dirt trails for walking or hiking. A small rocky hill provides views of the surrounding Moreno Valley area.
Morrison Park is open 24 hours daily, making it accessible for early morning or evening use. The park has two parking lots off Dracaea Avenue providing a total of 72 parking spaces for visitors.
While Morrison Park focuses primarily on sports facilities and walking trails, it does not have a playground area. The park tends to be busiest on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, particularly during sports seasons.
