Belmar Park

Belmar Park is a 132-acre public park located in the heart of Lakewood, Colorado. The park offers a peaceful natural environment within an urban setting, featuring rolling grasslands, mature trees, and several water features.

At the center of Belmar Park is Kountze Lake, which spans over 17 acres and provides habitat for various waterfowl and native plant species. Visitors can observe ducks, geese, and other birds from the lake's shoreline or from several viewing areas around the water.

The park contains nearly two miles of paved trails that wind through diverse landscapes, allowing visitors to explore different ecosystems within the park. These trails are popular for walking, jogging, and biking, offering scenic views of the surrounding natural beauty.

In addition to its natural areas, Belmar Park includes more developed sections. The northwest corner of the park features a traditional turf area with a playground, providing recreational space for families and children. The park is also home to Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, a 20th-century history park and museum that offers visitors a glimpse into the area's past.
