GW Anniversary Park

Anniversary Park is an urban park located at the south end of the George Washington University campus in Washington, D.C. Situated on F Street NW, between 21st and 22nd Streets NW, the park serves as a commemorative space for the university's 175th anniversary.

The park was established to provide a green space for students, faculty, and visitors to relax and gather. It features a garden area, offering a touch of nature within the urban campus setting. The park's design incorporates benches, providing seating for those who wish to enjoy the outdoor environment or take a break between classes.

Anniversary Park also includes grills, making it a popular spot for small gatherings and cookouts among the university community. The addition of these amenities allows for social activities and outdoor dining experiences within the confines of the campus.

As part of the GW Alumni Brick Program, the park contains bricks dedicated to the class of 1996, adding a historical and sentimental element to the space. Additionally, the park features a memorial plaque and flowers honoring alumni who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, serving as a place of remembrance and reflection.

The park's location on the southern edge of the campus makes it easily accessible to students and provides a transition space between the university grounds and the surrounding urban area of Washington, D.C.
