Orange Drive Linear Park

Linear Park in Davie, Florida is a neighborhood park spanning 36 acres along the north bank of the South New River Canal. The park runs east to west for approximately 8 miles, offering a paved trail that parallels Orange Drive and the canal.

The trail provides a convenient connection between various points of interest in Davie, including the town's Western Theme District, Town Hall, Rodeo Arena, and Bergeron Rodeo grounds. It also links to several equestrian parks in the area, such as Wolf Lake, West Ridge, Tree Tops, Robbins Lodge, and Vista View Parks.

Linear Park features nine shelters along the canal bank, offering picnic areas for visitors. These shelters do not have electricity or restroom facilities. The park is open daily from 9 a.m. until sunset, providing ample opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy its amenities.

The trail is popular among locals for walking, jogging, and cycling. Anglers can also take advantage of the canal for fishing. Throughout the park, users may encounter various wildlife, including iguanas, turtles, ducks, and birds.

While the trail offers a pleasant outdoor experience, it's worth noting that there are several street crossings along its length. Some of these crossings may require users to navigate to nearby crosswalks, as signals are not always directly on Orange Avenue.
