James F. Holland Memorial Park is a 26-acre recreational area located in Palm Coast, Florida. The park offers a diverse range of amenities and activities for visitors of all ages.
A notable feature of the park is its unique playground, themed after the Bulow Plantation Sugar Mill. This playground includes coquina rock structures with slides, bridges, ladders, a climbing wall, and a zip line. It also features an archaeological digging area, providing an educational component to play.
The park includes a 3/4-mile walking trail that runs along its perimeter, offering visitors a chance to enjoy nature and exercise. For dog owners, there is a 1.5-acre dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as wash-down stations.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy various facilities including tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, basketball courts, pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, and multi-purpose sports fields. The park also features baseball fields with bleacher shade coverings for spectator comfort.
One of the park's highlights is its splash pad, which opened in June 2024. The 11,000 sq. ft. splash pad is designed to represent local ecosystems and wildlife, featuring zones that depict coastal and swamp environments with various spray features.
James F. Holland Memorial Park is also home to the Palm Coast Historical Society headquarters, where visitors can learn about the history of Palm Coast and the significance of the Bulow Plantation Sugar Mill.
