About Dewey Park in Boise

Dewey Park is a small urban park located in Boise, Idaho at the intersection of 15th Street and Hill Road. The park serves as a mini recreation area for the local community.

One of the notable features of Dewey Park is its historical significance. The park contains one of two obelisk monuments in Boise that mark the route of Goodale's Cutoff on the Oregon Trail. This monument provides a tangible connection to the area's pioneer history.

The park was developed with support from a Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant and financial contributions from the North End Neighborhood Association (NENA). This community involvement helped create a functional green space in the neighborhood.

While compact in size, Dewey Park offers some basic amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park provides a place for local residents to relax outdoors and serves as a small gathering spot within the neighborhood.
