Highland Park

Highland Park, also known as Fort Hill, is a historic park located in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Situated atop the highest point in Roxbury, Highland Park offers sweeping views of the Boston skyline. The park is known for its centerpiece, the Gothic Revival-style Fort Hill Tower, also called the Cochituate Standpipe. Designed in 1869 by Nathaniel Bradlee, this stone water tower once served Boston's water supply system but is now a landmark representing the area's rich history.

The park is part of a landscape designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, renowned for his contributions to urban green spaces across the United States. Highland Park is steeped in history; the area played a key role during the American Revolutionary War as the site of a defensive fortification.
