Opened in 2017, this park was developed as part of a $400,000 investment spearheaded by Quicken Loans to enhance downtown Detroit's connectivity. Its location stretches from the south end of Campus Martius Park to Larned Street, offering a functional link between Downtown Detroit and the Spirit of Detroit Plaza. The space is particularly notable for its accessibility and integration within the city’s core.

The Esplanade is home to Michigan's largest daily food truck rally between June and October, attracting visitors with a wide range of culinary offerings. Beyond food, the space features attractive greenery, archways, and lighting for an inviting atmosphere. It serves as a community space for both residents and visitors to enjoy casual strolls and engage in activities.
