About East Liberty Park in Akron

East Liberty Park is a 66-acre public park located in Green, Ohio, near Akron. Opened in 2006, the park was developed on the site of a former sand and gravel quarry.

The park offers a variety of recreational facilities and natural areas for visitors to enjoy. It features multiple sports fields and courts, including baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts. A large playground provides an area for children to play.

East Liberty Park also includes a pond, though fishing is currently prohibited. Visitors can explore nearly 46 acres of wooded parkland via walking trails that wind through wetlands, meadows, and forested areas. Some of these trails have been developed as Eagle Scout projects.

For gatherings, the park has a pavilion that can be reserved for events. Restroom facilities and parking are available on-site. The park is open daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

While offering many amenities, East Liberty Park also preserves natural habitats, balancing recreational use with conservation of the area's ecosystems. The park provides Green residents with a spacious area for outdoor activities and enjoying nature close to home.
