About Pacific Park in Bend

Pacific Park is a small riverfront park located in Bend, Oregon. Situated along the Deschutes River, this park offers a quiet spot for relaxation and nature appreciation in an urban setting. The park consists of a narrow strip of turf between Pacific Park Lane and the river, as well as a sloped grassy meadow above the street and parking area dotted with mature trees.

While relatively modest in size and amenities, Pacific Park serves as a popular location for fishing and a peaceful place to enjoy outdoor lunches or observe local wildlife. The riverfront features a 3-4 foot high stone retaining wall along a section of the river. Visitors can find interpretive signage describing the site's history, as well as a peace pole displaying six different languages.

The park provides improved paved paths connecting to the Deschutes River Trail, with a new directional sign to help guide visitors. In the summer of 2023, the trail section leading south to Drake Park was upgraded and now includes a boardwalk along the river, enhancing accessibility and views for park users.
