About Padre Balli Park in Corpus Christi
Padre Balli Park is a 374.5-acre county park located on North Padre Island in Corpus Christi, Texas. The park features over a mile of Gulf of Mexico beachfront and provides year-round public beach access.
The park offers camping facilities including nearly 100 paved RV campsites with water and electrical hookups. There are 12 hardtop tent camping areas that also have water and electrical connections available. A bathhouse with showers is provided for campers. Day use visitors can access the beach for swimming, fishing, and other recreational activities.
Padre Balli Park connects to Bob Hall Pier, a popular 1,240-foot fishing pier that extends into the Gulf of Mexico. The park provides parking areas near beach access points. Picnic facilities are available, including some covered picnic tables on the beach.
The park is situated between Mile Markers 224 and 235 along the Padre Island National Seashore. Regular beach maintenance is conducted up to around Mile Marker 235. Beyond that point, four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended for beach driving. Camping directly on the beach is permitted south of Access Road 6, which is located near Mile Marker 235.
Padre Balli Park serves as a gateway to miles of undeveloped beach stretching southward. The park provides amenities and beach access while maintaining much of the natural coastal environment. Its location on North Padre Island allows visitors to experience the Texas Gulf Coast and serves as a base for exploring the wider Padre Island area.
