Packery Channel Park

Packery Channel Park is a 38-acre nature park located on North Padre Island in Corpus Christi, Texas. The park sits along the Laguna Madre side of the island, offering scenic views of the coastal waters.

A key feature of the park is its large protected oak motte near the entrance, which provides an important habitat for migratory birds and has made the park a popular spot for birdwatching. The park contains restored coastal habitats including woodlands and freshwater wetlands that support diverse wildlife.

Visitors can explore the park via an elevated boardwalk that winds through the natural areas. The boardwalk is ADA-accessible and includes interpretive signage about the local ecology. There are also hiking trails and picnic areas available for public use.

For water activities, the park provides shoreline access to Packery Channel and has two kayak launch areas. Fishing is permitted along the channel. The park aims to balance public recreation with habitat conservation and environmental education about the Texas coastal ecosystem.
