Buck Sansom Park is a community park located in Fort Worth, TX 76106 on Sansom Park Dr. The park spans approximately 131.6 acres and is part of the City of Fort Worth's Marine Creek Park Corridor, which includes several other parks in the area.
The park's history dates back to 1927 when the initial land acquisition began. Sam Rosen, a Northside real estate developer, sold 32.57 acres to the City of Fort Worth for park purposes. Subsequently, Marion Sansom, Jr. donated 40 acres and sold an additional 67 acres, forming the core of what would become Buck Sansom Park. It was officially dedicated in 1937.
Buck Sansom Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for visitors. The park features sports facilities, including a baseball/softball field and an outdoor basketball court. For those interested in soccer, there are soccer goals available for use. The park also provides amenities for picnicking, with tables and grills scattered throughout the grounds.
