Independence Park

Independence Park is a small neighborhood park located in Garland, Texas. Situated less than a mile north of Duck Creek Greenbelt Trail, this miniature park spans 2.2 acres, with 1 acre developed for recreational use. The park serves as a shaded oasis for the local community, offering a variety of activities for visitors of all ages.

In March 2023, Independence Park underwent renovations as part of the 2019 bond project. The improvements included the installation of new playground equipment, enhancing the park's appeal and functionality. The updated playground now features equipment for climbing, hanging, balancing, and swinging, all integrated into one collaborative space.

The park's design prioritizes accessibility and inclusivity, welcoming everyone in the neighborhood to enjoy its facilities.
