Fairmount Park

Fairmount Park is a neighborhood park located in West Seattle, Washington. The park spans approximately 5 acres and is situated adjacent to Fairmount Park Elementary School. It serves as a recreational hub for local residents and students alike.

The park features open grassy areas suitable for various activities and picnicking. A prominent feature is the athletic field, which includes facilities for junior soccer and softball. This multi-use field provides space for organized sports as well as casual play.

Fairmount Park underwent renovations in 2022, focusing on improving the play area nearest to the school. The updated playground now includes modern equipment such as multiple slides, an overhead ring trek, a small net climber, and a suspension bridge. These additions offer children diverse options for physical activity and imaginative play.

The park's layout includes paved pathways that connect different areas, making it accessible for visitors of all ages. These paths are set to be further improved in future projects to meet current accessibility standards, enhancing the park's usability for all community members.
