Van Fleet Park

Van Vleet Park is a 2.8-acre neighborhood park located in the Northwood area of Vancouver, Washington. The park was originally part of a planned community constructed by the Vancouver Housing Authority in the Heights area after World War II.

The park is named after Lewis Van Vleet, an early Clark County surveyor and the original grantee of the park land. Van Vleet was also a representative in the territorial legislature. In 1887, his daughter, Louisa, became Clark County's first female doctor.

One of the park's notable features is its unique playground with a forest critter theme. The playground includes nature-inspired equipment with elements such as leaves, sprouts, rocks, logs, and petals, providing an engaging and imaginative play environment for children.

Van Vleet Park is open daily from 5 AM to 10 PM, offering residents ample time to enjoy its facilities. The park serves as a local green space for the community, providing opportunities for recreation and relaxation.
