Brittingham Park is a 25.81-acre community park located along Monona Bay in Madison, Wisconsin. The park spreads across unique areas featuring diverse recreational facilities and natural spaces.
At 829 W. Washington Avenue, visitors can find an accessible playground near a reservable shelter and multipurpose fields. The playground, which opened in 2017, was the first city-owned barrier-free playground in Madison, designed to enable children of all cognitive levels and abilities to play without facing barriers. It includes features like molded merry-go-round seats, a spongy rubber floor, and play panels geared toward motor, audio, and visual skills.
The park offers water-based activities through its beach area at 701 W. Brittingham Place. Here, Madison Boats operates watercraft rentals, including canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. The Camp Randall Rowing Club also utilizes the park, operating out of the historic Brittingham Boat House at 617 North Shore Drive.
Brittingham Park includes various sports facilities such as tennis courts, volleyball courts, and basketball courts. It also features an off-leash dog park at 326 S.
