North Star Park

North Star Park is a community park located on the far east side of Madison, Wisconsin. The park spans 23.60 acres and serves as a valuable recreational space for residents within a 2-mile radius.

Established as part of Madison's park system, North Star Park offers a variety of outdoor amenities for visitors of all ages. The park features open green spaces ideal for casual recreation and relaxation. A playground provides entertainment for children, while sports enthusiasts can make use of the basketball court and multipurpose field.

One of the park's notable features is its off-leash dog area, spanning approximately 2 acres. This fenced space allows pet owners to exercise their dogs safely. The dog park includes some seating and waste bag dispensers for convenience.

North Star Park is open daily from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM, making it accessible for early morning activities as well as evening use. While the park does not have restroom facilities, it does offer drinking water for visitors.

The park's master plan was approved in July 2018, indicating ongoing development and improvements to enhance the space for community use. As a community park, North Star serves as an important gathering place and recreational resource for residents in the surrounding neighborhoods.
