Period Garden Park

Period Garden Park is a small public park located in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin's historic Mansion Hill District. Situated at the intersection of East Gorham Street with North Pinckney Street, the park occupies what was once the front lawn of the Elisha W. Keyes House, built in 1853.

The park, which spans approximately 0.25 acres, was established in the 1970s when a group of community activists saved the space from redevelopment. It was designed to recreate the ambiance of Victorian-era gardens that were once common in the neighborhood during the 19th century.

Period Garden Park features a combination of grassy areas and planted flower beds, creating a picturesque oasis in the midst of the busy downtown area.
