Cypress Spray Park

Cypress Spray Park is a public recreational facility located in Madison, Wisconsin. The park spans 0.66 acres and is classified as a special park type by the City of Madison Parks Department. It offers a unique water play experience for visitors during the summer months.

The centerpiece of Cypress Spray Park is its splash pad, which operates daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The spray area is open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, providing a refreshing retreat for families and children on hot summer days. The splash pad features eight water play elements, creating an engaging and interactive environment for young visitors.

In addition to the water features, Cypress Spray Park includes a playground area, offering diverse play options for children. The park's design incorporates colorful flowers around the edges of the playground and splash pad, enhancing its visual appeal and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Cypress Spray Park is the result of a collaborative effort, with more than half of its construction costs funded privately. Contributors include the McClellan-Dodge Trust Fund, the Herfurth Foundation, the Madison Community Foundation, Jerome Frautschi, and CUNA Mutual Foundation, demonstrating strong community support for this public amenity.

The park's location adjacent to Lincoln Elementary School makes it a convenient destination for local families and school children. Its proximity to Centro Hispano and the Villager Mall also positions it as an accessible recreational space within the neighborhood.
