About Bowser Park in Fort Wayne

Bowser Park is a small public park located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Established in 1923, the park spans 0.92 acres and has been serving the community for a century. The park was donated by Sylvanus F. Bowser, a successful industrialist, inventor, and philanthropist, along with his wife Sarah. They gifted this land to the city on the condition that it remain a place of relaxation and enjoyment for residents and their children.

Situated at the intersection of Reed Street and Fisher Street, Bowser Park provides a green space in an urban setting. The park's history is intertwined with that of its namesake, Sylvanus Bowser, who is known for inventing a type of pump that eventually became the automobile fuel pump.

In August 2023, Bowser Park celebrated its 100th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its history. The park operates daily from 6 am to 11 pm, offering local residents a place for recreation and leisure throughout the day.
