Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park, located in Wichita, Kansas, is a small neighborhood park that has been serving the community since its acquisition in 1900. The park provides a pleasant outdoor space for local residents to enjoy recreational activities and relaxation.

One of the park's notable features is its playground area, which offers a safe and fun environment for children to play. The park also includes a gazebo, providing a focal point for gatherings and a sheltered area for visitors.

In 2001, a splash pad was installed in Lincoln Park, replacing the swimming pool that had been built in 1919 and was subsequently shut down in 1997. This interactive water feature adds a refreshing element to the park, especially during warm summer months. The splash pad is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm, beginning on Memorial Day weekend.

The Kansas Firefighters Museum is adjacent to Lincoln Park, adding historical interest to the area. This proximity allows park visitors to easily explore both the recreational space and the museum, enhancing the overall experience of the location.
