Virginia Lake Park

Virginia Lake Park is a 32-acre urban park located in Reno, Nevada. The centerpiece of the park is a 25-acre man-made lake, constructed in 1938-1939 as part of a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project during the Great Depression. The lake has a maximum depth of 12 feet and serves multiple purposes, including stormwater detention and recreational fishing.

The park features a popular 1-mile paved loop trail that circles the lake, providing a flat and accessible path for walking, jogging, and casual cycling. This trail is lined with benches, offering visitors places to rest and enjoy views of the water and surrounding landscape.
