Green Road Park

Green Road Park is a 29-acre public park located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Established in 1985, this park offers a variety of recreational facilities and amenities for visitors of all ages.

The park features both indoor and outdoor spaces for community use. A community center on the premises provides various programs and classes for residents. The center includes two gymnasiums, meeting rooms, and a fitness room equipped with exercise machines and free weights.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Green Road Park offers multiple sports facilities. These include tennis courts with push-button lighting available until 10 p.m. year-round, outdoor basketball courts, and sand volleyball courts. The park also has two baseball fields: an adult field with a 350-foot distance to the fence and a youth field with a 287-foot distance.

Families with children can enjoy the playground designed for ages 5-12, which features a woodchip surface for safety. The park also provides open green spaces and walking paths, allowing visitors to enjoy nature and engage in leisurely activities.

As part of ongoing improvements, the park is undergoing renovations based on the 2022 Parks Bond Referendum. These enhancements aim to improve accessibility, safety, and recreational offerings. Plans include a new restroom building, site amenity renovations, and the addition of public art.
