River Bend Park

River Bend Park is a 25-acre public park located in northeast Raleigh, North Carolina. Opened in December 2020, the park offers a blend of recreational facilities and natural areas along the Neuse River.

The park features a unique playground designed with a river theme. The play area has a rubberized safety surface and is divided into sections for children ages 2-5 and 5-12. It includes elements such as a multi-direction swing, slides, and a climbing boulder. A notable feature is the interactive water element with a hand pump, creating a small stream for children to play in during warmer months.

River Bend Park serves as an access point to the Neuse River, making it a popular spot for kayakers and canoeists. The park provides a designated kayak loading and unloading area, as well as a launch site for small non-motorized watercraft. This feature allows visitors to easily explore the Neuse River.

The Neuse River Greenway trail runs through the park, connecting it to the larger trail system in Raleigh. This makes River Bend Park an excellent starting point for cyclists and hikers looking to explore the area.
