Martin Luther King Jr. Park is a small urban oasis located in the Far West neighborhood of Eugene, Oregon. Situated between 9th Place and 10th Avenue along Grant Street, this compact park spans approximately 0.8 acres, providing a welcome green space for local residents.

Originally constructed in 1982, the park has served as a neighborhood gathering spot for decades. In recent years, efforts have been made to renovate and improve the park's facilities. The City of Eugene identified Martin Luther King Jr. Park as a high-priority asset in need of renovation in its 2017 Park and Recreation System Plan.

The park offers a blend of natural and recreational elements. Visitors can enjoy the expanse of lawn dotted with mature trees, creating shaded areas for relaxation. The park's layout includes walking paths that allow for leisurely strolls or quick cut-throughs for pedestrians.

As part of the renovation project, a new wood privacy fence has been erected along the park's western boundary, enhancing the sense of seclusion within the urban setting. Underground utilities have also been installed, improving the park's infrastructure while maintaining its aesthetic appeal.
