Embree Park

Embree Park is a community park located in Garland, Texas, less than one mile south of Highway 66. The park spans 12.4 acres of developed land, offering a variety of recreational facilities and green spaces for visitors to enjoy.

The park features wide-open spaces and a 0.5-mile paved trail that loops around the entire perimeter, providing an excellent opportunity for walking, jogging, or leisurely strolls. The trail leads visitors past the Gale Fields Recreation Center, which houses a fitness room, gymnasium, and multiple meeting rooms.

One of the park's recent additions is a splash pad, which opened on July 13, 2023. This new feature provides a fun water play area for children and families during the warmer months, typically operating from May 15 through October 5.

Embree Park underwent updates as part of a bond project, with improvements completed in November 2023. These enhancements have further improved the park's facilities and overall visitor experience.

The park caters to various recreational needs with its playground, basketball court, and picnic areas. It also includes practice backstops for sports enthusiasts. With 114 parking spaces available, Embree Park is easily accessible to both local residents and visitors from surrounding areas.
