85th Avenue Mini Park

85th Avenue Mini Park is a small public park located in Oakland, California. This mini park is one of nine recently renovated parks in historically underserved neighborhoods of Oakland, as part of a $5 million citywide beautification project completed in February 2025.

The park features a resurfaced play area, making it safer and more inviting for children. As part of the renovation, new park furniture was added to provide comfortable seating for visitors. The park now also includes a barbecue pit, allowing families and community members to gather for outdoor cooking and socializing.

To promote health and reduce waste, a new drinking fountain was installed in the park. This addition encourages visitors to stay hydrated while discouraging the use of disposable plastic bottles. The park's greenery has been enhanced with new landscaping and an upgraded irrigation system, contributing to a more pleasant and sustainable environment.

Safety improvements were also a key focus of the renovation. New lighting was added to increase visibility and security during evening hours. The park is now enclosed by improved fencing and gates, further enhancing safety for visitors.
