About Ivywild Park in Boise
Ivywild Park is an 18-acre public park located in Boise, Idaho. The park offers a variety of recreational facilities and open spaces for community use. The park's most recognizable feature is the outdoor Ivywild Pool, which includes a main pool with large pretzel and drop-off slides, as well as a separate wading pool designed for children ages 6 and under.
The park provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities and sports. It features tennis courts, a playground for children aged 2-12, softball fields, and soccer practice fields. A walking path winds through the park, offering visitors a chance to enjoy the natural surroundings and get some exercise. The park also includes open grassy areas suitable for picnicking or casual games.
In 2024, Ivywild Park saw the addition of a new skate spot, located between the pool and softball field. This facility, designed by Grindline Skateparks, includes features such as rails, curbs, a hip, and a quarter pipe, catering to skateboarders, bikers, and rollerbladers of various skill levels.
The park is equipped with amenities to support community gatherings and events. A reservable picnic shelter is available for group activities, and restroom facilities are provided for visitor convenience. The park offers on-site parking as well as street parking options for easy access.
